Welcome to Hurstville Presbyterian

Hurstville Presbyterian Church is located in one of the southern suburbs of Sydney, and is made up of people from more than twenty nations. We are a family of all ages, evangelical by conviction, and international by intention. The Church has a long history, commencing in 1894, and it is our ambition, that by God's grace, the Church will have a long future. Perhaps God is wanting you to become part of the next chapter at HPC.

Ministries

• Sunday School

  • Sunday School children attend the first part of our morning church service (commencing at 9:30am). After the children's talk, they are taken to classes by their teachers for small group lessons, craft and other activities appropriate to their age.

• Creche

  • During church, the smallest children are cared for in the creche in the house next to the church building - 43 Park Road.

• SWAG

  • "SWAG" is the St Giles Wilderness Adventure Group - adventure group for boys school year 3 and up. Through a range of outdoor activities as well as our weekly program, SWAG encourages the boys to grow in maturity and in their relationship with God.
  • Activities include abseiling, bushwalking, camping, bike riding, challenging games and Bible Studies. SWAG meets during the school term at Penshurst Presbyterian Church Hall, 118 Penshurst Road, Penshurst on Tuesday nights from 6:30-8:30 pm.

• Wednesday Kids' Club

  • Kids' Club meets on Wednesday afternoon during school terms from 4:00-5:30pm and includes drink and biscuits. Activities include Bible stories, songs, crafts and games. Cost $2 per child.

• Friday HYPE - Hurstville Young People Evangelising

  • This is for high School aged youth. Activities include games, singing, Bible talks, prayer and supper.
  • HYPE meets on a Friday night during school terms from 7:00pm - 9:30pm at the Hurstville Presbyterian Church.

• Sunday Easy English Bible Study

  • Easy English Bible Study is a group that meets on Sunday to learn from the Bible using easy English. The group meets after the Morning Service from 11:30am-12:30pm at 43 Park Road. Sometimes group members enjoy lunch together after the study.

• Translation of Morning Service

  • A translation service is now available during the morning service. This provides simultaneous translation of the whole service into Mandarin and broadcast to people wearing headphones sitting in the congregation.
