Easy English Bible Study

Easy English Bible Study is a group that meets on Sunday to learn from the Bible using easy English. The group meets on Sundays from 11:30am-12:30pm at 43 Park Road. Sometimes there is a meal after the study.

Friday Night International Group

This group meets at 43 Park Road at 7:00pm each Friday. It starts with dinner and then followed by a talk from the Bible or a Bible discussion in both English and Mandarin.

growth groups

We have a number of Bible Study groups (growth groups) meeting in the homes of our members. Members meet to share their lives, study the Bible, apply its teaching to their lives and pray together. The groups meet at different times – weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Men and women are involved in each group and, in some, whole families participate.

Craft Group

The Craft Group provides ladies with a chance to develop friendships and learn various crafts. It meets at 43 Park Road Hurstville. Craft is held from 10.00am until Midday on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Thursdays of each month (during school terms). Child minding is provided. Morning tea commences at 9.45am. During the morning there is a short time of devotions. Cost is $10 per person plus the cost of craft materials required for each project.

Women’s Group (PWA)

On the 4th Wednesday of every month our women meet together. They seek to encourage one another in serving God and hear what God is doing in the church in NSW and Australia. This is part of the nationwide Presbyterian Women’s Association.

Know Your Bible (KYB)

For ladies, a Know Your Bible group operates during school terms at 10.00 a.m. on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesday of each month and meets at 9 MacMahon St, Hurstville.

SWAG (St. Giles Wilderness Adventure Group)

SWAG is the St. Giles’ Wilderness Adventure Group. It has a uniform and is intended to develop Christian character in boys in School Years 3-12.

Activities include abseiling, bushwalking, camping, bike riding, challenging games and Bible Studies. SWAG meets at Penshurst Presbyterian Church Hall, 118 Penshurst Road, Penshurst on Tuesday nights from 6:15-8.30 p.m.

Youth Group: Presbyterian Youth (PY)

Each Sunday afternoon during the school term, PY meets at 4:15pm, followed by a meal and continuing into the evening service commencing at 6:30pm. On the first Friday in the month there will be a social activity.

PY is open to those in school years 6-12. It meets for social activities and learning about God, and themselves, from the Bible. Come along and find out for yourself!

Sunday School

Sunday School children attend the first part of our morning church service (commencing at 9.30am). After the children’s talk, they are taken to classes by their teachers for small group lessons, craft and other activities appropriate to their age.

Kids’ Club

Kids’ Club meets on Wednesday afternoon during school terms from 4-5:30pm and includes drink and biscuits. Activities include Bible stories, songs, crafts and games. Cost $2 per child.
